This page provides basic instructions on how to play SeeSoar.
You can also find game instructions as well as a live demo within the game itself under "Instructions" on the main menu.
Game Modes
1P Game
Advance levels in this mode by completing a set number of matches (lines to go). If balls reaches the red line, you lose.
2P Vs
2 Players challenge each other head-to-head in a splitscreen battle. Round is won by completing set number of matches (lines to go) or if opponent's ball reaches the red line.
Basic Gameplay
Move the robotic crab left and right of screen, drop a ball down to send another ball up. You can switch position of ball currently held.
(Default Keys: Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Arrow Down + Enter)
Match 3 balls of the same colour either in a horizontal or vertical line to destroy the balls.
Balls from lines below a match will move up and fill spaces left from destroyed balls, this may set off a chain reaction.
Complete number of lines to go to finish each level. If balls reaches the red line, you lose.
Bricks may appear on levels, you cannot move a brick (hence you also cannot send your ball up if in that position). Bricks can only be destroyed if by matching coloured balls next to a brick in a horizontal or vertical line.
Powerups have different effects and will help you complete the levels.

Rightmost Destroyer
Destroys all balls to the right of position on the same row. (Lines to go - 1)
Leftmost Destroyer
Destroys all balls to the left of position on the same row. (Lines to go - 1)
One-Liner
Destroys all balls on the same column.

Streamline
Destroys all balls on its vertical line.
(Lines to go - 1)
Da Bomb
Destroys all balls on the same row and column.
(Lines to go - 1)
Karma Chameleon
Destroys all balls of the color matched next to.
(Lines to go - 1)
Ufo Freeze
Freezes the UFO for a set amount of time.
S Brick
Destroys all bricks.
V-Liner
Destroys all balls which fall within a V shape from the top corners.
(Lines to go - 1)
Give me five
Reduces lines to go by 5.
Game Tips
In-game keys:
P - pause game
Escape - Quit to main menu
Extra life at: 250,000 pts, 500,000 pts, 750,000 pts
Tips: Chain reactions increase score multiplier. Matching balls will move lower balls up, this can cause chain reaction matches, which increases score multipliers. Use Powerballs wisely, some powerballs have more effect when used at certain positions on the platform.
